Unlike its predecessors, the 2013 Koenigsegg Agera’s rev limiter has been “raised from 7,250 rpm to 7,500 rpm, which pushes peak output for the Agera from 927 horsepower to 947 horses, and the Agera R from 1,100 hp to 1,124 hp when it’s sucking E85.” Pricing information has not yet been released. The 2013 Agera R features the world’s first hollow, one piece, super light carbon fiber wheel, using a proprietary method developed by Koenigsegg named Aircore Technology. The Agera and the Agera R have the first production engines in the world to use nano-surfaced cylinder sleeves, from ANS, for reduced friction and fuel consumption.
