2026 Cadillac Optiq-V Electric SUV
Cadillac most certainly won’t be left behind in the EV game with their 2026 Optiq-V, a high-octane electric SUV that fuses raw power with the brand’s plush luxury. This upgraded take on the recently launched Optiq marks Cadillac’s second V-Series electric, hot on the heels of the Lyriq-V.

Priced from $68,795 with destination fees, the Optiq-V squares up against heavyweights like the Tesla Model Y Performance and Audi SQ5, but it’s got its own swagger, complete with a Tesla NACS charging port right out of the box. Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup pumps out a hefty 519 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque in Velocity Max mode, rocketing from 0 to 60 mph in a neck-snapping 3.5 seconds—way quicker than the standard Optiq’s 300 horsepower and 5.7-second jog. John Roth, Cadillac’s global vice president, sums it up: this beast is set to pull in new fans and show off Cadillac’s worldwide clout. A V-Mode button on the steering wheel lets you save custom settings, including a Competitive Mode to tweak traction control, and a faux engine growl—switchable to a silent EV hum—adds some personality.

The Optiq-V’s look is pure attitude. It sports a blacked-out roof, a panoramic glass panel, and two exclusive colors: Magnus Metal Frost, a matte gray with warm undertones, and Deep Ocean Tintcoat. Blue V-Series accents jazz up the rear quarter windows, and optional royal blue six-piston Brembo brakes bring both style and serious stopping power. Inside, a Noir and Santorini Blue color scheme keeps things classy yet bold. At 190 inches long with a 2954 mm wheelbase, it’s about the size of a Model Y but feels nimbler, thanks to a tuned suspension and smart weight balance. The sleek windshield and D-pillar give it a streamlined edge over boxier rivals, clearly aiming for younger buyers.

Tech-wise, the Optiq-V is loaded. A massive 33-inch infotainment screen runs Google’s built-in system, complete with Google Maps and Assistant (though you’ll need a subscription for full features). Cadillac’s ditched Apple CarPlay and Android Auto here, betting big on its own setup. Safety and driver aids are top-notch, with adaptive cruise control, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Enhanced Automatic Parking, and Forward Collision Alert, all backed by radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors. The revamped Super Cruise, now tied to Google Maps, adjusts speed to match road signs for smoother hands-free driving. A new Vision Enhanced Parking system uses cameras and radar for tight maneuvers, though Cadillac’s keeping details under wraps.

The game-changer? That NACS port, making the Optiq-V the first GM vehicle to plug straight into Tesla Superchargers, no adapter needed—a big win after GM’s adapter struggles. The 85 kWh battery offers about 275 miles of range, a bit less than the standard Optiq’s 302 miles because of the V’s extra grunt.

Production kicks off in fall 2025 at GM’s Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico, with deliveries by year-end. The Optiq-V will hit markets in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Middle East, and Israel, showing Cadillac’s global flex. For comparison, the standard Optiq leases start at $409 a month, making the lineup a tempting option for all kinds of buyers.
