Sharks kill less than a handful of people a year, but did you know people also fall at the hands of vending machines? That’s right, most modern vending machines are tested and designed to inhibit theft, with security measures resulting in designs similar in strength to safes, causing them to be very heavy. A few people have been fatally injured after having a vending machine topple over them, either while they were attempting to steal from the machine, or venting frustration over a malfunction which caused a failure to dispense the purchased item or the proper change.
