3D-Printed Tiny Retro Dell Desktop PC
There’s the Aston Martin-designed Lenovo ThinkStation PX, and then this tiny 3D-printed retro Dell desktop PC. Inventor Salim Benbouziyane knew that the small chassis just wasn’t large enough for a normal processor, so he opted for a Raspberry Pi 4 and a microSD card slot where the floppy / CD-ROM drive would have been.



He also wanted to retain the 4:3 aspect ratio of the original monitor, but all of the smaller pieces needed to be sent over to PCBWay for production. Fortunately, the HeyGears Reflex easily 3D printed the larger parts, although all of them needed to first be primered before paint could be applied. Next, TwisterOS, a Linux operating system, was used to recreate the Windows 95 user experience, including the games.
