It’s official, next-generation 500kW Tesla Supercharger V4 stations are set to arrive next year, and for starters, it will enable the Cybertruck to charge 30% faster. However, Tesla Model S / 3 / X / Y models continue to charge at a maximum 250kW rate, good for up to 200 miles of driving range in just 15 minutes.
Each V4 cabinet will be able to power up to eight Supercharger stalls, pr double the capacity of previous versions, while still optimizing space usage. The latter makes it easier to install Superchargers in more locations, thus bringing the newer stations online faster. Put simply, the 500kW Tesla Supercharger V4 stations have three times the power density of its predecessors, enabling greater throughput at a lower cost.
