The new 8BitDo Micro Controller somehow has 16 buttons, yet weighs just 24.8 grams. 8BitDo touts it as a controller designed for 2D titles, as a single charge of its 180mAh battery is good for up to 10-hours of continuous use over Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless or a wired USB-C connection.
Featuring a standard D-pad, four action buttons (A, B, X, Y), four face buttons, and shoulder trigger buttons. It’s compatible with Android, Raspberry Pi and Nintendo Switch, complete with remappable buttons that can be used to trigger commands in apps. The latter requires users to enable Keyboard Mode to map each control to software or apps. Plus, it supports 8BitDo’s Ultimate Software, allowing you to map any button desired on your iOS or Android device in Keyboard Mode. Available now in blue or green colors, priced at $24.99 USD each.
