Priced at $40 USD, the 8BitDo N64 Mod Kit adds wireless connectivity to the classic controller and a hall effect joystick, the latter of which is designed to last far longer than the OEM part. The mod kit consists of a new board for Bluetooth connectivity, hall effect joystick, and a rumble pack that also serves as a battery pack without adding any additional bulk.
Best of all, there is no soldering required, as installation basically only requires you to remove the original PCB and then replace that with the 8BitDo Mod Kit PCB. The rumble pack and mod kit can be charged via USB-C, while LED indicators show what mode the controller is in as well as the battery life. You can also buy the mod kit and rumble pack separately for $29.99, with the hall effect joystick priced at $19.99, or get all three for $39.99. Unfortunately, all three are sold out currently both individually as well as in the bundle. For those lucky enough to secure a pre-order, the kit start shipping on July 5th.
