John Downer Productions used a robotic iguana to not only dive for food with its real-life counterpart, but also spy on them. It first started out just observing them on a rock in the Caribbean before everyone decided to go for a swim.
If you’re wondering what a robotic iguana is doing in the Caribbean, it’s for the David Tennant-narrated ‘Spy in the Ocean’. This four-part BBC documentary series premiered on BBC One last June and features several more interesting robotic animals, including a giant spider crab and even a cuttlefish.
