The Yangwang U9 is ready to take on hypercars, while the 2025 BYD Seal 06 GT aims to give the Volkswagen ID.3 a run for its money, literally. This electric hot hatch is based on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture, it will be available in single motor (214 hp) and dual motor (415 hp) configurations.
Base models will be equipped with a 59.52 kilowatt-hour pack, while the higher-end veriants receive the 72.96 kWh battery pack, good for 313 and 375 miles respectively based on the Chinese test cycle (CLTC). The EV measures 182.3 inches long and has a wheelbase of 111 inches, making it slightly larger than the ID.3, but still offering a footprint similar to that of the Kia EV6 and Hyundai IONIQ 5. Available August 30 in China, priced from just over $21,000 USD.
