Miss the Game Boy Camera? Pixless just might be the next best thing. This tiny device takes 0.03-megaixel images (256 x 128) that resemble the pixel art masterpieces you grew up with, or least for some of us.
Images are captured line by line to conserve RAM, and resampled using a custom 4-64 color palette, which can be user-defined and uploaded to the SD card. This data is then enlarged by a factor of 8 (making each pixel 8×8 pixels) to avoid blurriness on various devices. It even has a 1″ monochrome OLED screen that acts as the electronic viewfinder, shutter release, and power button. You can pre-order one now for $73 USD, with shipments beginning in April.
- Hybrid instant film camera
- 10 Lens x 10 Film Effect Options = 100 Ways of Expression
- Built-in selfie mirror so you’re perfectly framed for a selfie, Dual shutter buttons – portrait and landscape

The battery charger is a very advanced chip made by Texas Instruments designed for extra safety and control. Now being on the same board is wired via i2c to the cpu so we can show battery percentage and charge status on the screen, on top of monitoring its life status,” said its creator.
