First released in 1998, the Nintendo Game Boy Camera was ahead of its time and straight out of the box, the picture quality leaves a lot to be desired, but with some modifications, it can become a decent shooter. Automotive enthusiast Connor Merrigan from Australia modified one to accept DSLR lenses using a 3D-printed adapter and then went to the racetrack to capture some drift cars.

If you’ve never owned a Game Boy Camera, this accessory features a 180°swivel front-facing camera sensor that let users capture selfies. Its images can either be view on a Game Boy or printed directly onto thermal paper with the Game Boy Printer. Guinness World Records even recognized it as the world’s smallest digital camera back in 1999, and photographers today still continue to embrace its technological limitations as artistic challenges.
