The Unitree G1 just received a bionic robot, and is now the smoothest walking, as well as running, humanoid robot yet, or so the company says. Thanks to UnifoLM (Unitree Robot Unified Large Model), it’s capable of avoiding large obstacles while doing so.
Standing around 4′ 3″ tall, the 77.2-pound G1 can run for up to 2-hours on a single charge and a 3D LiDAR, paired with a depth camera, ensure the robot maps whatever environment it finds itself in. Need it for an all-day job? An extra large quick release battery means that you’ll be able to swap them in and out quickly, without worrying about charging.

Can you train it to carry the bag on the shoulder? The assymetrical cargo carrying is the complicated task, because it requires to rebalance the gait to account for the change in the center of mass. Something that humans do naturally, would probably take a year to train this robot. But you should start, please!,” said one commenter.
