Monterey Car Week always brings the drama and in 2025 Lamborghini brought the Fenomeno, a limited edition supercar capped at just 29 units. Built on the Revuelto platform, the Fenomeno pushes every boundary, from its record breaking V12 to a carbon fiber body.
A naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 sits at the heart of the Fenomeno, producing 835 horsepower at 9,250 rpm. That’s the most powerful V12 Lamborghini has ever made, with 128 horsepower per litre. Three electric motors join the party, two up front and one above the eight speed dual clutch gearbox, to bring the total output to 1,080 horsepower. 0-62mph in 2.4 seconds, 0-124mph in 6.7 seconds and a top speed of over 217mph. The weight to power ratio of 1.64kg per horsepower means every ounce of that power translates into motion with precision.

Carbon fiber is the material of choice for the Fenomeno, from the monofuselage chassis to the Forged Composite front structure, a material Lamborghini pioneered with the Reventón in 2007. This lightweight, aeronautics inspired chassis keeps the car agile despite the monstrous power. The body is entirely carbon fiber and channels air with brutal efficiency. An S-duct at the front funnels air to increase downforce, while the redesigned doors direct cooling air to massive side intakes, increasing radiator efficiency by over 30% compared to standard Lamborghini V12s. The rear wing, with its unique omega shape, stabilizes the car at high speed, making it as planted as it is fast.

The Fenomeno’s design, created by Lamborghini’s Centro Stile to celebrate its 20th anniversary, is aggressive and elegant. A single centreline silhouette runs from nose to tail, like the longtail of the Essenza SCV12. The front fascia, with its Y-shaped splitter and slim light clusters, references the Lamborghini bull logo. Vertical Y-shaped taillights and a sculpted diffuser make the rear view futuristic and unmistakably Lamborghini. Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires – 265/30 ZRF21 up front, 355/25 ZRF22 at the rear – grip the road, with optional semi-slick track tires for those who want to chase lap times.

Bridgestone’s custom tires, developed using virtual technology to reduce emissions, have run-flat capability and allow drivers to continue at 50 mph for 50 miles after a puncture. The eight-speed gearbox with lightning quick shifts and continuous downshift function gives drivers total control, while the hybrid system gives brief bursts of zero-emission four-wheel-drive cruising. The 7 kWh battery is tucked under the central tunnel and powers the electric motors, balancing weight and performance.

Inside, the Fenomeno is like a fighter jet cockpit. Carbon fibre dominates, from the center console to the 3D printed air vents. Bucket seats, designed exclusively for this car, wrap around the driver, while three digital screens replace most physical buttons, keeping the focus on the road. The race inspired steering wheel and ambient lighting make the driver feel like they’re in a spaceship. Lamborghini’s Ad Personam programme offers endless customization, with over 400 exterior colors and almost infinite interior options, so every Fenomeno is a one off.

The Fenomeno has a 6D sensor, a first for Lamborghini, located near the car’s center of gravity. This sensor measures acceleration and angular velocity on 3 axes and feeds real time data to an Integrated Vehicle Estimator. Using Kalman filtering it predicts the car’s dynamics and optimises traction and braking. The CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brakes, taken from Lamborghini’s LMDh racing program, are the most powerful in the world and have a 3D carbon-fiber structure to withstand extreme conditions. A manually adjustable suspension lets you fine tune the setup for road or track, so every corner is a thrill.

Named after a bull pardoned in 2002 for being brave, the Fenomeno lives up to its name. It’s part of a line of Lamborghini one-offs—Reventón, Veneno, Centenario, Sián, and Countach—each a milestone in the brand’s history. This car is most likely already sold out with a price tag rumored to be around $3.5 million. For the lucky 29 owners, the Fenomeno is a collector’s dream, a design icon and the ultimate V12 Lamborghini.
