Spirit Halloween Jurassic Park Goggles Night Vision
Spirit Halloween, the go-to destination for all things October, has branched out from capes and masks to bring us a surprise for Jurassic Park fans: a replica of the night vision goggles from the 1993 film. Priced at $149.99, these goggles will transport you back to that unforgettable T. rex escape scene where Tim’s hands fumble with the high-tech eyewear under a stormy sky.

Early reviewers say the goggles have a sturdy build that feels substantial without being bulky. The body is glossy yellow and gray plastic with a dark green section and a light green camo pattern that matches the film to the smallest detail. A clear, adjustable strap fits most adult heads (though the packaging says 14 and up) and weighs just enough to feel authentic but not too heavy for a Halloween party or movie marathon. No gimmicky flourishes here, just a rugged, utilitarian look.

Functionality takes this prop beyond a static collectible, but requires 4 AA batteries (not included) to power the red and green LEDs. The bright glow mimics the night vision effect and a zoom lens slides in and out with a click. When fully extended, a crosshair appears in the viewfinder, a fun nod to the movie. The goggles don’t actually have night vision (don’t expect to see a velociraptor in the dark) but the lights and crosshair create an immersive experience. Buttons on the side control the electronics so you can toggle the lights or adjust the lens even mid-costume strut.

The packaging is a bonus. The box has the Jurassic Park logo and opens without tape. Inside is a foam tray that cradles the goggles like a museum piece. The lack of a classic Jurassic Park sunset on the box is a missed opportunity but the black design and clear product imagery is stylish. A safety manual styled like an in-universe park brochure provides tongue-in-cheek instructions: press the on switch, adjust the straps and of course don’t feed the animals.

At $149.99, the price seems like a lot to pay, but compared to high-end replicas like the $800 Paragon Collectibles version that doesn’t even have these features, it’s a steal. But compared to other costume accessories like Hasbro’s $115 Star Wars helmets with voice changers this is just a plastic prop with lights.
