Vertu Agent Q AI Smartphone
Vertu has just launched the Agent Q, which was unveiled yesterday at Harrods. They call it the world’s first AI agent phone, built for entrepreneurs who need results, not endless scrolling.

The device has a 6.02-inch AMOLED screen at 120Hz, a top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. A 5,565mAh battery with 65W charging is ideal for long journeys or late nights. The cameras are mid-range solid: 50MP main with OIS and variable aperture f/1.59 to f/4.0, 50MP ultra wide for wide pictures and macro, 64MP telephoto for 2x zoom, and 32MP front for calls. Dual speakers with DTS tuning are ideal for quiet boardrooms. However, these specifications serve a larger purpose, in which the phone molds moments rather than simply recording them via sophisticated processing on the device.

Most phones need you to flip between screens: open email for a note, calendar for a slot, and internet for research. That back and forth consumes time and scatters thinking, especially as deadlines approach. Vertu reverses the script utilizing their own operating system VAOS (Vertu Agent Operating System). This takes the show through a four-step cognitive engine: recognizing what’s around it (voice, image, text, etc.), recalling previous decisions, sketching out a path, and carrying out the plan.

It’s all available via Ruby Talk, a button on the side that has been part of the Vertu lineup since the early 2000s. Previously, it dialed a person for assistance; now, it activates a network of over 200 built-in helpers who are adjusted to business cycles. Press once, say what you need, and the phone will route you to the appropriate tools. If a task reaches a stumbling block, such as requiring a speedy opinion from a lawyer, the system contacts a real person from Vertu’s 24/7 support team.

Privacy anchors the whole operation, starting with a custom chip that crunches everything locally. The phone layers on hardware encryption, separate zones for each helper to avoid leaks, and a split setup with main, hidden and shadow areas for sensitive files. Add 10TB of locked-down cloud space and you’ve got room for years of records without worry. Vertu ties this to a VPS which links the phone to outside experts only when necessary, keeping control in the user’s hands.

Aside from conventional photos, the camera system has a mechanical zoom fashioned like a clockwork, resulting in a 35mm perspective that mirrors how eyes see the world. Speak a tweak, and the system adjusts colors or trims as needed; feed it a still, and it spins a short film in realistic motion.

The body is wrapped in calfskin or crocodile hide, with titanium edges and gold accents to contain 320 hand-fitted pieces. A flap at the bottom opens on a Swiss hinge, allowing for quick SIM swaps without the need for a tool. Colors range from deep black to warm gold, with a high-end diamond version costing over $100,000. Prices for basic skins start around $5,000, with rarer skins costing more. Exclusively available on Vertu’s website, Harrods, and in select locations.
