The Panasonic 3DO FZ-1 made its debut in October 1993 at the hefty price of $699. Sales were very poor to say the least, so Panasonic released a more affordable model — the FZ-10 (top-loading disc drive) — in 1995 at just $300. Few video clips after the jump.

At the time, the FZ-1 was as or more powerful than the computers at the time. They were known for playing full motion video, FMV’s, and having CD quality sound.
