Actor Charles Martinet voiced Mario and Luigi in the Super Mario video game series between 1994-2023, but he most certainly wasn’t behind this bizarre AI Mario hologram at CES 2024. This was spotted at the AARP booth despite not being associated with the organization or Nintendo.
Who actually made the hologram? Proto Hologram, a company that specializes in holographic booths that can sometimes be found in stores or other public areas. Typically, they are used to advertise products using actual celebrities or real mascots. The company hopes to one day use these booths to help combat loneliness and improve telehealth.

So I guess there was more video thanks to @raystrazdas
I was told from the AARP rep to ask Mario something about how to buy a game?
Nothing about this makes sense. AARP? Mario? buying from Target? AI??
This whole experience was weird from the start đŸ™ƒ pic.twitter.com/mHiSElHsPj
