There’s face masks, and then Air-Ring, a wearable air purifier that is design to encompass the user’s face with a refreshing atmosphere of purified air. It uses a powerful silent air turbine to deliver essential airflow, while multi-layered air purification begins with filtration of harmful particles and viruses by a state-of-the-art replaceable N95 HEPA filter at the air intake cartridge.
It doesn’t stop at the N95 HEPA filter, as potential pathogens and viruses are then deactivated when the air is exposed in the photocatalytic UV sterilization chamber consisting of a UV-C LED array. The chamber is specially shaped to optimize airflow and improve sterilization with a Titanium Dioxide coating. Once the air flows from the main chamber through a pair of distinctively arching air ducts, the odors, and allergens are filtered by a layer of electrostatic as well as activated carbon filters. Its battery array, located in the collar ring, is good for a full day of use. In the most hazardous scenarios, the user can use a hermetically sealed protective Hood with a clear, transparent screen over the Air-Ring. A crowdfunding campaign is set to begin later this summer.
