Thanks to “25 years of research by an international team of scholars and was originally launched at Harvard University’s Arthur M. Sackler Museum in the U.S.”, we can now see how ancient Greek and Roman artworks really looked like during that time period. Click here for more pictures.
Researchers argue that back in the time of their creation, Roman and Greek monuments were vibrant and multi-coloured. It is simply that centuries of deterioration have removed any trace of the pigments.
