The former will finally feature “multitasking [available only on 3G S and iPod Touch 2G], which Apple says is going to be the ‘best’ implementation in the smartphone space.” While iAd will bring mobile advertising to 3rd party developers, in the form of in-app advertisements. Apple will receive 40% of the revenue generated. Click here for first picture in gallery.

App switching is activated by double tapping the home button, which pulls up a “dock” of currently running apps, and Apple claims it can do this without hurting battery life or performance for the front app.
