Self-taught artist Ben Young has just unveiled his latest layered glass wave sculptures, and they’re incredible to say the least. To create these, he uses sheets of carefully cut glass to build both abstract and realistic interpretations of waves, along with bodies of water. These are probably influenced by the beautiful Bay of Plenty on the northern coast of New Zealand’s North Island, where he grew up. Believe it or not, everything is done completely by hand, from the initial sketches on paper to the manual cutting of each glass pane.
