If the ASUS ROG ALLY handheld game console were ever to be released, it would most certainly give Valve’s Steam Deck some major competition. Official specs have not yet been revealed, but the company does state that it has a semi-custom AMD APU, a high-performance display, ROG Intelligent Cooling with a dual-fan design, and the ability to unlock Ally’s full potential with a XG Mobile eGPU.
When connected to the ROG XG Mobile eGPU, it would not only charge Ally, but also enable you to stream to a larger display. Unfortunately, this handheld console appears to be just a very well made April Fools’ Day joke. Fortunately, ASUS definitely has made at least one prototype of the Ally and could probably bring it to market should they find the right suppliers.
