The ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED laptop debuted at CES 2022, and just this past week, it was revealed at IFA 2022 in Berlin. Priced from $3,499 USD, this foldable laptop doubles as a giant tablet, thanks to its large 4:3 aspect ratio 17.3-inch 2.5K touchscreen, which can fold right down the middle to create two 3:2 12.5-inch displays.
It’s powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1250U processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16GB of RAM, a 1TB PCIe SSD, a quad-speaker Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos sound system, and two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, both of which support fast charging of its 75 Wh battery. An all-new ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad guarantees comfortable, accurate typing, complete with a desktop-grade 19.05 mm key pitch and a long 1.4 mm travel on the dished mechanical keys. It’s set to start shipping in Q4 2022 worldwide. Apple is also testing a foldable E-ink display possibly for a future iPad or MacBook.
