Thanks to a new augmented reality system consisting of two cameras, drivers can see through walls. Basically, a “computer takes the feed from the second camera and layers it on top of the images from the first so that the wall appears to be transparent.” Video after the break.

The Carnegie Mellon team, lead by Yaser Sheikh, thinks that the system could be easily implemented by tapping into the CCTV camera networks available in most major cities.
