Modder Nicholas Zetta, also known as Basically Homeless on YouTube, has unofficially built the world’s first invisible PC setup. At first glance, it just looks like a normal desk, but upon closer inspection, you’ll see a transparent display that seemingly floats in mid-air, along with no visible wires you would typically find on a PC setup.
What you’re actually looking at is a Flexispot E7 electric sit / stand desk, an ASUS laptop, a projector, a transparent display film, and a few other hardware components that can easily be purchased online. To create the illusion of an invisible PC, Zetta had to take apart the laptop, secure the hardware beneath the desk, mount a depth-sensing camera in a light fixture directly above the desk for hand tracking, and then coat a piece of plastic in ClearBright transparent display film so images can be projected onto it.
