Finally, pre-orders have opened for the $29,995 Blackmagic URSA Cine dual-lens camera, which was designed specifically for creating Apple Vision Pro content. Featuring an innovative new sensor designed for incredible quality images at all resolutions from 4K to a massive 17K. Its larger sensor builds on the technology of URSA Mini Pro 12K with larger photo-sites leading to an impressive 16 stops of dynamic range.
URSA Cine’s rugged camera body is made from magnesium alloy, while a lightweight carbon fiber polycarbonate composite skin makes it easy for users to move on set. Standard Lemo and Fischer connectors can be used to control the camera remotely and also provide power for lens motors as well as other accessories. Plus, it also ahs 12G‑SDI out, 10G Ethernet, USB-C, XLR audio and more. Its fold out monitor sports a large 5″ HDR touchscreen on one side and an external color status LCD on the other. Each of its lenses has a sensor providing 8,160 by 7,200-pixel resolution per eye. Deliveries are expected to begin in Q1 2025.
