Motion detection records up to 30 seconds and setup takes minutes with the free Blink app on your phone. Scan the QR code on the camera, connect it to the Sync Module and you’re done. No hub required except for the module and Alexa connectivity to display views on Echo Show devices and announce alarms through your smart speaker. Person detection is available with the optional Blink Basic subscription for $3/month which filters out false alarms from swinging branches or passing squirrels and only gives you what’s relevant. Without the subscription you still get local storage and basic clips.
