There’s the gigantic Jinki Ittai and then BRUCE, an open-source bipedal robot equipped with a liquid cooled knee actuator for more human-like movement. It’s designed to be a robotics research and education platform that will be limited ot 10-units worldwide, each one priced at $14,890 USD.
Weighing in at just 10.6-pounds and standing 70cm tall, BRUCE is powered by a 3000mAh lithium battery good for 20-minutes of use with continuous dynamic motions. Most importantly, this bipedal robot is user-friendly, thanks to its compatibilty and expandability, thus making robotics research far more efficient when compared to its predecessors.
- Features a 9 in. / 24 cm tall Iron Man action figure - a realistic recreation of the metal-clad star of the Marvel Studios’ Avengers movies
- All parts of the buildable Iron Man action figure are articulated, so kids can move, position and pose the armor just like the real thing
- A button-operated Light Brick adds extra realism as it illuminates the arc reactor in Iron Man’s chest
We hope that BRUCE can contribute to the advancement of worldwide robotics research as well as better collaboration on a global scale,” said Westwood Robotics.
