China 6G Mobile Technology Data
Researchers at China’s Purple Mountain Laboratories, in collaboration with China Mobile and Fudan University, announced that they have achieved at 6G mobile technology breakthrough. The team, led by chief scientist professor You Xiaohu, was able to conduct a sixth generation 6G-level wireless transmission of 206.25 gigabits per second for the very first time in a lab environment, setting a new record.

This speed set a new world record for real-time wireless transmission within the terahertz frequency band around 300GHz-3THz. Within this decade, 6G wireless communication technology will eventually succeed 5G cellular technology, which is still not yet available in some parts of the world. More surprising, China boasts 40.3% of global 6G patent filings, but most are related to mobile infrastructure technology and filed by Huawei.
