Engineer Bob High-Resolution Scrolling Computer Mouse
Engineer Bo created an innovative wireless computer mouse that enables high-resolution scrolling. More specifically, it’s a wireless high resolution scrolling device paired with a magnetic absolute encoder and an HID resolution multiplier.

Put simply, it consists of a 14-bit on-axis magnetic rotary position sensor, an HID descriptor tool, nRF Connect firmware, a host microcontroller, and a 3D-printed shell. When all of this is combined into a single device, you get a wireless computer mouse that lets you quickly scroll through any document or webpage.

You can utilize a stepper motor instead of the bearing or in conjunction with…to provide haptic feedback…then you could have the ability to configure how smooth ..how fluid. The rotation is..plus some sort of feedback can be incorporated for different applications..an example could be that you are scrolling and reached the very top or bottom of scroll bar..a sensation can be mad of that ending by making the wheel have more friction. Harder to spin,” said one commenter.
