Let’s face it, most computer keyboards are known to slide around when not placed on a non-slip surface, mainly due to their light weight. YouTubers Evan and Katelyn decided to come up with a solution…a concrete computer keyboard.
What did it take? Around $5 worth of concrete, but before it even came to the pouring process, the keycap stems had to be reinforced with plastic. Plus, replacing water with PVA glue when mixing the concrete provided even more strength to the mixture. Next, came demolding the actual keys and then the keyboard case, before creating custom keycap molds. We won’t spoil everything, but it did take 100-hours or more to build a somewhat functional concrete computer keyboard.
