Yes, it’s already been 10-years since the release of Apple’s first iPhone, and to commemorate, Ken Kocienda, a designer who was on the “Project Purple Team”, posted an image of two early prototypes. The two devices above are called “Wallabies”, and were used develop the software keyboard.
Can you imagine if some of these prototypes made their way onto the open market? Well, there have been a few iPhone prototypes listed for sale on third party marketplaces such as eBay, but they were quickly taken down, with some even reaching thousands of dollars. Now an original iPhone prototype would probably quickly sell for $10,000+.

The devices themselves are absolute monsters, as rightly expected of a smartphone prototype of 12 or so years ago.
