Photographer Danny Mcgee took the DJI Avata 2 FPV drone for a spin above Peru’s Catarata Gocta, one of the planet’s tallest waterfalls with a jaw-dropping 2,531-foot plunge. Tucked into a remote cloud forest, it’s framed by steep, green cliffs and swirling mist—a scene that feels straight out of a fantasy flick.
The Avata 2’s 1/1.3-inch sensor and 4K/60fps HDR capability brilliantly captures the vibrant colors and textures—shimmering water, moss-covered rocks, and the occasional glimpse of the Andean landscape beyond. This aerial view also reveals the waterfall’s two-tiered structure more clearly than a ground perspective, showing how the upper and lower sections connect amidst the cliffs.
