Dodge has officially launched its 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody and it’s touted as the “most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world.” This sleek muscle car can hit 60 mph in a mere 3.6 seconds, while topping out at 196 mph, all powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 generating 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. You also have access to Launch Control and a Launch Assist function that “uses wheel speed sensors to watch for driveline-damaging wheel hop at launch and, in milliseconds, modifies the engine torque to regain full grip.” Read more for another video, additional pictures and information.
On the inside, you’ll find heated / ventilated Laguna leather front seats, complete with embossed Hellcat logos, a heated flat-bottom steering wheel sporting a new “SRT Hellcat” badge with a black / red finish, or you can opt for a Carbon & Suede Package which adds carbon fiber trim and Dynamica suede upholstery to the headliner, sun visors and A-pillars.
“Besides the aforementioned changes, the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody has a new electric power steering system. The system is adjustable and there are four different modes called Street, Sport, Track and Custom. The latter allows owners to fine tune the steering to meet their own individual preferences. Dealers will begin accepting orders this fall and the first deliveries are slated to begin early next year,” reports Car Scoops.
