Domino’s Pizza UK trialed the first delivery by jet suit at the Glastonbury Festival this past weekend. Gravity Industries helped make this happen with their custom jet suit that not only keeps the pilot safe, but also pizza fresh and warm.
The jet suit is powered by five gas turbine engines that generate a combined 1,050 hp and 318 lb of thrust, enabling it to achieve speeds in excess of 50 mph, while reaching a maximum altitude of 12,000 feet. There is no word yet on if Domino’s plans to offer this delivery service at more events worldwide. However, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Stellar Pizza try a similar stunt since it was founded by former SpaceX engineers.
- Rotating tray turns continuously to assure even baking.
- Top and bottom heating elements bake foods from both sides. Heating elements are separately controlled, allowing you to select top, bottom, or both...
- Timer signals end of cooking time and automatically turns off heating elements.

When we realized pitching up to serve slices inside the festival was impossible, we took inspiration from this year’s headliner to launch our own rapid delivery trial – it was a bit of a no-brainer. So, this year we wanted to take a giant step towards and trial our very own rocket man service to help hungry campers get a slice of sky-high satisfaction in the future,” said Sam Wilson, Domino’s UK Assistant Public Relations Manager.
