More specifically, the DreamGenerator AI camera uses both open-source Stable Diffusion and ControlNet software, the latter of which is a fine-tuning method that improves image-to-image capabilities. Goodrich, a Snapchat AR engineer, states that the generated images reference the composition and pose of the original photo, thus ensuring that key elements are retained while still adding in new touches.
