Espara Sbarro Heritage ESX Supercar
A crew of 25 students built a stunning supercar that channels the iconic Shelby Daytona Coupe. Say hello to the Espera Sbarro Heritage ESX, a one-of-a-kind prototype born from the Espera Sbarro UTBM training program. This isn’t some kit car or restomod—it’s a full-on, from-scratch masterpiece, and it’s ready to roar at the Le Mans Classic on July 3-6, 2025.

The Heritage ESX sits on a multi-tubular chassis, a featherlight yet rock-solid frame that gives it a nimble, ready-to-pounce vibe. At just 1,150 kg (2,535 pounds), this coupe is powered by a beefy Ford 5.0-liter V8 pumping power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. These students didn’t just bolt parts together—they engineered a chassis to balance strength and lightness like pros.

The ESX’s look nails the 1965 Shelby Daytona Coupe’s spirit while carving out its own swagger. Its stretched dash-to-axle and curvy rear scream vintage racer, but modern tweaks keep it fresh. LED headlights, nabbed from the updated Ford Puma, glow with Ford GT-level intensity. Round LEDs nestled in the bumper intakes add a sharp pop, and a vented hood lets the V8 breathe easy. Side gills and exhausts blasting out the sides nod to the original Daytona’s gritty charm. Inside, the Heritage ESX shows off a hand-crafted cabin that screams dedication.

What makes this project wild is the timeline. In just five months, these students from the Espera Sbarro UTBM Stylist Prototypist course went from a blank slate to a running, road-ready beast.
