Taipei 101’s elevator is touted as the world’s fastest, reaching a top speed of 37.7MPH. It carries passengers from the 5th floor to an 89th floor observatory in just 37-seconds. To accomplish this feat, each elevator boasts an aerodynamic body, high-tech emergency braking systems, and a triple-stage anti-overshooting system.
