What better way to study fluid physics in microgravity, than when aboard the International Space Station? That’s exactly what Dr. Donald Pettit decided to do in his 6-month stay. Continue reading to see more. Click here for first picture in gallery.
Filmed aboard the International Space Station, this fluid physics experiment was aimed to “provide significant health and safety benefits for astronauts and spin-off technologies to improve life on Earth” — according to NASA. To be more specific, air bubble were created inside a half-dozen small spherical droplets of water — 1-4mm in diameter.
