A fellow reader and Apple insider sent in a few photos of what he claims are unreleased Apple prototypes. To start, we have the “Video Pad”, basically a PDA/phone that came equipped with an LCD display and built-in camera. Next up is Apple’s “Figaro”, which is an unreleased notebook-sized PDA that looks quite similar to modern day credit card terminals. First picture in gallery.

Before the iPhone, came this touchscreen phone concept. Unfortunately, it was ahead of its time. At one point, Steve Jobs wanted to delve into the toy industry with “Kid Newton”. Obviously, that didn’t quite work out, nor did the “transparent” Macintosh Portable.
