Unlike other military drones, the Avenger is powered by a turbofan engine, and its design includes stealth features such as internal weapons storage, and an S-shaped exhaust for a reduced infrared signature and radar signature. General Atomics plans to integrate a 150-kilowatt solid-state laser, and if successful, the craft will take to the skies in 2017.
