Google Japan has unveiled Gboard CAPS, a wearable keyboard keycap that actually works. To start using the cap, simply place it on your head and start rotating from side to side. The movement acts as a keystroke, which can be confirmed on your smartphone after reaching the desired character.
When not in use, it simply functions as a standard hat. Google Japan even designed expansion modules, including a mesh module that prevents it from losing its shape, as well as a caps lock module sporting a convenient chin strap that prevents it from falling off your head. Best of all, you can make your own Gboard CAPS at home. More information here.

Up until now, we have continued our development by focusing on the ‘keys’ part of the ‘keyboard,’ but this time we have developed a device based on the ‘bow’ part of the ‘keyboard.’ We would like to continue using our brains in research and development to create a more comfortable input method. Thank you for your continued support this year,” said the team.
