Glarses Massive Computer Keyboard Giant
There’s TypeAnywhere, and then this massive computer keyboard built by engineer Dave, better known as Glarses on YouTube. The idea first came to him at CES 2018 when he spotted a massive Razer keyboard, and ever since then, the project has been on his mind. Many years later and around $14,470 USD spent, the keyboard became a reality.

Coming up with the idea and making it a reality are entirely different stories, as the key switches required for the project just weren’t available to consumers back in 2018. Fast forward to 2022, and NovelKeys ‘The Big Switch Series’ were released, which are exactly as they sound, giant mechanical key switches. Since these aren’t parts you can just buy at any computer store, they are quite expensive, or $18 USD each. Next, he had to CNC machine the aluminum plate enclosure, while the key switches needed giant PCBs. Lastly, 3D-printed key caps had to be made, as the ones that came with the switches only worked on standard keys.
