Google Project Starline 3D Video Calls Real World Test
Until the LaMDA 2 conversational AI actually becomes sentient, Google Project Starline will soon be available for more real word testing, making video calls more realistic than ever. The system will be installed in the offices of multiple enterprise partners, including WeWork, T-Mobile, Salesforce, and Meridian Health.

Project Starline consists of high-resolution cameras, custom depth sensor sensors and a light field display that generates 3D imagery, similar to a holographic display. For the past year, Google has been testing Project Starline at its own offices in the US for employee meetings, onboarding sessions and more. It allows coworkers to feel like they are together in the same room, even when they are cities apart, by creating a 3D model of a person.
