Hacksmith Real Dune Stillsuit Recycle Sweat Water
The team over at Hacksmith are back at it again, and this time, they’ve built a real-life Dune stillsuit that recycles sweat into drinking water. It may not look as sleek as the one depicted in the 2021 film, but the stillsuit most certainly works.

How so? A battery pack-connected thermoelectric cooler, a device that runs an electrical charge through two different types of metal, was installed, with the cold side facing the interior, thus attracting moisture in the trapped air. Next, a CamelBak hydration bladder was merged with an in-line water filter to collect the condensed water, enabling the wearer to suck it up through a tube.

Could this actually be viable tech for working in the desert? Along with some way to circulate the air from the cool side of the TEC inside the suit and a few small solar panels sewn into the shoulders,” said one fan.
