Josh King wanted a better way to play Minecraft on his mobile device, so he came up with the M-Con back in 2023. Fast forward to October 2024 and the M-Con V2 smartphone game controller has become a reality, complete with a MagSafe attachment for more secure gameplay.
Since most of the parts are 3D-printed, the sliding mechanism isn’t the smoothest (yet), but it gets the job done. As for the buttons, they come from a PB Tails controller, while PS Vita-style sticks are great for racing, action-adventure, platform, etc. games. Connecting the M-Con V2 to the iPhone requires Bluetooth pairing. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability, but a Kickstarter is rumored to go live on November 1st.

Few last things, this WILL and DOES work on ANDROID even with MagSafe and all the different skews and sizes. We’re not set on a MSRP (price) yet but we’re looking at $99 just as a place holder. We’re thinking we will be able to get it out in the first quarter of 2025,” said its creator.
