Helldivers 2 was released on the PS5 back in February of this year, and those familiar with the title know that it’s a cooperative third-person shooter. 64 Bits wanted to see how it would look on the ultra expensive Neo Geo or the MVS arcade, which is based on the same console hardware, and thus this demake was born.
As you can see, this Helldivers 2 demake looks more like a Metal Slug game than the third-person shooter you’re familiar with. Rather than missions where players must accomplish objectives in procedurally generated levels while fending off hordes of enemies, the demake is more run and gun style with shoot ’em-up mechanics. Unfortunately, there’s no word on if we’ll ever see a playable demo.
