Gamers have probably seen Aperture Science Panels – ” a dynamic structure and testing element in Portal and Portal 2, forming all departments and Test Chambers of the Aperture Science Enrichment Center” – before, now Hyundai has unveiled a real-life version of it at their Motor Group Pavilion in Korea. The “Hyper-Matrix” wall was created by a South Korean art collective called Jonpasang, using thousands of one-foot styrofoam cubes that are pushed in and out by computer-controlled stepping motor actuators. The resulting patterns are mostly just fun to watch rather than informational, but we do get to see a car running across the wall at one point.
