An extremely rare fire tornado was captured in San Paolo, Brazil. This “phenomenon has been caused by a combination of wildfires and strong dry winds following weeks of drought in the country.” Videos after the break.

A whirlwind of flame, spiralling several metres high, danced across burning fields, bringing traffic to a halt on a nearby highway. Authorities in Brazil are struggling to contain the fires and have banned farmers from burning waste from the sugar cane harvest.
