At first glance, this tree may appear to be cut in half, but upon closer inspection, you’ll see that it’s just an illusion. That’s right, graphic designer Daniel Siering teamed up with art director Mario Schuster (aka Mario Shu) to transform this solitary tree in Potsdam, Germany into a split, hovering trunk using only paint and tin foil. My Modern Met reports: “To create the illusion, Siering and Shu wrapped a section of the tree in foil and proceeded to spray paint it in the likeness of the surrounding environment. From the precise angle, the tree looks as though it is floating in mid-air.”
